Wed. May 21st: UK Churchill author and political strategist - Michael Dobbs

We are delighted to announce that prominent Churchill author and political strategist Michael Dobbs will be in Seattle on Wednesday May 21st. Michael has writtten two historical novels featuring Churchill's private life and public leadership. In addition, his experience in more recent British politics and journalism is outstanding. Dobbs has worked inside Downing Street as one of Prime Minister Thatcher's advisors and later Deputy Chairman of the British Conservative Party.

Michael's book, Never Surrender, is an excellent historical novel that reveals the inside of Churchill's mind and heart as he becomes Prime Minister and takes on the terrifying challenge of halting Hitler's murderous invasion of Western Europe with only his wits and his magnificent words.

The event will be held privately at Elizabeth and Alexander's Churchill Library and Parlor in Bothell, within 5 minutes of the I-405. Heavy Hors d' Oeuvres and wine will be served at 6:30pm, and a good cup of English Tea with homemade scones and jam will finish off the evening. A cover charge of $20 can be paid on arrival. We will have copies of Michael's books available for purchase that he is willing to sign.

We look forward to gathering again in Churchill's memory and apply the legacy of his leadership to the dialog of current events today facing the Western world.

Sincerely,
Simon Mould - The Seattle Churchill Centre(425) 286-7364
